When I tried to find a picture for this week’s photo challenge about forces of nature, I actually selected several ones for considerations. While I have finally picked one from Iceland, why not I post the others as well? So my fellow bloggers – prepare for some rough rides in the next few posts!
El Golfo is a small village in Lanzarote and near it is a pebble beach which features a live demonstration of the water erosion. Here you can see rocks and mountains being eroded by the strong sea current to form very interesting patterns. The highlights of the show is a large volcanic crust near the coast, as you can see in this picture, like a small volcano emerged from the sea. I don’t know how long it has been there but as it’s being constantly hit by the fierce sea wave, I believe one day it will disappear!
