According to an article from BBC in 2014, there are actually more sheep (6.57 million) than people (5.3 million) in Scotland. If you are driving along Isle of Skye, you would probably think there are just sheep there.
As an outsider, I found it very amazing when I saw all these sheep running around, playing or just lying around enjoying the limitless supply of grass. Obviously all these sheep was owned by some farmers with different colour dye as markers but still, I wonder how the farmers actually locate them given they can just wonder freely in the area. I believe there were some sort of “social order” was there and it’s just I didn’t know how it work.
Sometimes when I was so busy in normal city life, I would think about these sheep. They might just be wondering without any aim and it looked a bit boring when you were just lying there with nothing to do. Still sometimes I think slowing down and live a sheep life isn’t too bad at all!
