I was really busy in the last few days and hadn’t got time to write any new post in this blog (or even read other blogs). The reward for my inactivity was: 0 view yesterday! Time to do something.
According to wiki, Seville Cathedral was the third largest Church in the world. I don’t know if it is true but the cathedral is really BIG. Indeed when I tried to take a picture of it from outside, I found it very challenging. There was simply nowhere I could stand to take a picture which can reflect its stunning scale.
The inside of the cathedral is equally impressive. I really can’t imagine how such project could be completed in the 16th century. Again according to wiki, the cathedral was built to demonstrate Seville’s wealth. While I don’t think it’s a good reason to build a cathedral (Shouldn’t a cathedral be built for God as the sole purpose?), the cathedral did serve this purpose. I don’t know how much money was spent to build it but definitely it wouldn’t be a small amount.
