For readers who started to feel bored about art nouveau, I have a good news for you – this post will be the last of this “mini series”.
Let’s move inside to see how it is like in an art nouveau style building. Frankly I am not an expert and I have no idea of how a “typical” art nouveau interior looks and I only visited the inside of one building – The Riga Art Nouveau Museum.
The museum isn’t very big and there aren’t a lot to see. In fact if we were not told it was museum, we probably thought it was a luxurious home of a rich family. Actually it was the former home of Riga art nouveau architect, Konstantīns Pēkšēns. The interior decoration of the home was extremely elegant and beautiful. I don’t know if there was any “enhancement” after it was converted to a museum but if the original home was really like it, people living in it would probably feel like living in a doll house.
For readers who haven’t seen my other art nouveau pictures, here are the links for them.
