The theme for this week’s Weekly Photo Challenge is “From Above” which is kind of opposite to the one “Up” couple of weeks ago. It sounds simple but the tricky part for me, when I read the details, is the picture needed to be taken directly from above. Most of my pictures were taken in my travels and there were not many situations where I could take a picture directly from above. At the end, I cheated and found two pictures which were taken nearly directly from above. I couldn’t decide which one to submit so I decided to cheat twice and submit two entries. This is the first one.
This picture was taken at the first level of the Eiffel Tower in Paris, France. The long queue was actually people queuing up for taking the lift up to the tower. It was quite funny to look at them from above (no disrespect to them – as we had been there ourselves). The Sun’s position was also perfect as it created long shadows of the people making the picture more interesting.
