I am very happy that my fellow bloggers like my last post as the entry to the WP Weekly Photo Challenge. As I said in the post I thought the picture fits quite nicely with the theme so I selected it for the entry. However, the place where I took the picture, Petřín Hill, is extremely beautiful and should warrant it’s own post. Here it is.
Prague is most well known by Charles Bridge, Old Town Square or Prague Castle. Petřín Hill is not as famous as them. Yet you can still find it in tourist book but it won’t be too high on the list (I’ve got a Top 10 Prague travel book and Petřín Hill is No.10). However, if you want to get away from the crowd, have some quiet walk and a good view of the Prague city, it should be your Top 1.
It was autumn and we took a funicular to the hill top and then walked all the way back down. We were surrounded by colours in most of our walk. Green, yellow, red, not only the trees but also the ground. There is also an observation tower, a nice little wooden church (which is not used anymore), a mirror maze and a lot more. There are also places where you can have a stunning view of the city.
