Isle of Skye in Scotland is a very good place for landscape or nature photography. There are lots of hills, lakes, trees and not to mention the highland sheep. Moreover since it’s very large, there won’t be any concentration of people there. Of course it’s better to go there in summer as it will be too cold in winter. Indeed, the best period is May/June as it may be too warm in July/August.
Loch Coruisk is one of the inland lakes on Isle of Skye. The best way to go there is by a boat trip from a small village called Elgol – which was what we did. We spent around 1.5 hours doing some light hiking and it was a very relaxing and comfortable trip. One interesting encounter was we met an old couple there and one of our friends helped them to take a picture. Guess what? The camera they used was a traditional film camera! No more review after taking the picture so our friend must get it right!
Absolutely breathtaking scenery, but I’m guessing it’s not as warm as it looks. 🙂
Thanks. It was actually not too cold there. It was May time and we just need a very light jacket. 🙂
